At Hebert Health Center, we enjoy the involvement of volunteers from the community who help to enrich the lives of our residents by teaching a class on gardening to calling Bingo games. Volunteers are encouraged to participate based on their interests and availability. Volunteering can be a very rewarding experience for the volunteer as well as for our residents – everyone benefits from making a new friend!

There are some requirements that must be met for volunteering at a nursing home, such as being a minimum of 16 years old, having a clear criminal background check, and if you’d like to include your pet in the visits, certain documentation from your veterinarian regarding immunization.
